Pakistan continues to works with Obama admin


According to online newspaper Pakistan ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson Foreign Office Muazzam Ahmad Khan on Thursday affirmed that Pakistan would continuously work with President Barack Obama’s administration to achieve the common interests in the region. In weekly press briefing, the Spokesperson said that Pakistan and the US share good relations and Pakistan with newly re-elected President Obama would continuously work together. Both countries are trying their level best to achieve common interest in the region, he added. He admitted it is fact that both the countries had experienced nominal ups and downs in their relations.

To a question, he said Pakistan and US considered that drone attacks are the major cause in smooth relations between both the countries and in this connection bilateral talks are underway to reach any logical end of the issue. Talking about attacks on Pakistani land by Molvi Fazlullah from Afghanistan, the Spokesperson said that detailed dossiers of evidences regarding Fazlullah have been dispatched to the Afghan government and US-led allied forces in the Afghanistan. He added Pakistan has also received reply in this regard and is in contact with the concerning parties. 

Replying to a question, he said that invitation has been sent to the Indian Prime Minister and whenever he wants to come, he would always be welcomed. Muazzam Khan informed that Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi and the Prime Minister of Turkey have confirmed their participation to attend the under-developing countries’ conference in Islamabad, Pakistan while the other countries of D-8 have also assured their participation in the upcoming D-8 conference. While on the proposal of President Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan is hosting regional inter-ministerial conference which would held on 12 to 13 November. The conference would be focused on anti-drugs-Online
