ISLAMABAD,
Aug 14 (Online): The Pakistan Peoples party Islamabad Chapter organized a torch
rally to celebrate and commemorate the 66th Independence day of the country
with national zeal and fervour. Thousands of the workers and civil society
members participated the colourful and charged event and marched through
different areas of the federal Capital. Addressing the gathering leader of
Pakistan People Party Faisla Sakhi Butt said that the best way to celebrate the
independent day is to work hard as the Independence Day gives a message of
renewed commitment for the welfare of the masses and prosperity of the country.
The Pakistan people’s party has transformed the country into a democratic revolution
through futuristic initiatives, provincial autonomy and fiscal equalization and
congratulates the nation on memorable
day of independence with the gifts of democratic devolution and futuristic
vision of reconciliation introduced by the President Asif Ali Zardari. The PPP leader Faisal Sakhi Butt while talking
to media on this occasion said that our Shaheed Quaid gave the common citizen
of Pakistan not only the right of vote
but a feeling of equality in light of the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah and objective of Pakistan. He said that a glorious day in the history,
14 August gives us a chance to renew our faith that we are all equal citizen of
one state and our unity is the surety for future prosperity. He said that the
PPP government is serving the nation with determination and has taken a number
of initiatives for the rights of the workers betterment of the poor provincial
autonomy, welfare of the farmers and agriculture sector and others marginalized
segment of the society. He said that the best way to serve the nation is to
take such initiatives which lead to national development and prosperity. He
said the continuity of the democratic system would pave the way for future
development of the country. He said that
the road to the development would lead the nation towards achieving the
democratic goals on the pattern of the developed countries. He said that for
the first time of history of nation a policy of political
Reconciliation,
democratic reforms has been introduced. He said that the revolutionary steps
also involve the sustainable support to the poor for establishing their
businesses, right of ownership to the workers in the entrepreneurs, development
in Balochistan, increase in the support price of agriculture produces, provision
of the agriculture inputs on subsided rates and other number of steps. He said
that the best way to celebrate day is to contribute in national development
through hard work, institutional reforms and strength of the democracy. He said
that public welfare oriented initiatives of the present regime would ensure the
welfare of the people and prosperity of the nation. He said that the PPP
government would soon give a local government system in the Federal Capital
which will give the local residents a chance to have their say in the affairs
of their city. he said that issues confronting different segments of this area
are also being
resolved
on priority.
